The English Graduate Student Society conference is an interdisciplinary graduate conference hosted by the Department of English Language and Literature at Carleton University, and organized by PhD students from the department. The 2019 conference, “[Per]forming the Present,” will take place April 27-28, 2019. It features twenty-five diverse and interesting papers surrounding the politics and production of “the present.”

The conference will feature a keynote address from Dr. Alexis Shotwell and two days of exciting presentations from graduate students from a variety of institutions and disciplines. We warmly invite members of the Carleton community to attend this free event.
